School of Pharmacy 19th in the world in QS World Rankings by Subject
The QS World rankings by Subject have just been released and the School of Pharmacy have, once again, moved up. We are now ranked =19th in the world in the Pharmacy and Pharmacology rankings.

This builds on last year's achievement of reaching 35th in the world and being the first subject in Â鶹ÒùÔº to ever be ranked in the global top 40. The School has moved steadily upwards in recent years, from 100-150th, to 77th, =55th, 39th, =35th and now =19th.
Professor Gavin Andrews, Head of the School of Pharmacy, said of this achievement:
“As a School, we are immensely proud to be placed in the global top 20. This ranking is a clear indicator of the excellence and impact of our research, and the quality of our graduates, but it also reflects the shared contribution and authentic engagement from all our staff in delivering this excellent outcome.”
Every member of our team has played their part in achieving this success, and the contribution of our dedicated PGR students has also been key. The recognition of employers, academics and our research publications and networks all feed in to how QS determines their independent ranking, which puts us in the global top 20.
The School intends to build on this and will continue to strive for excellence in education and research.
Queen’s now has 21 subjects ranked in the top 200, up from 10 in 2021, with 4 of those subjects in the top 100.
