Professor Luke Moffett is an expert on the laws of war/Geneva Conventions, International Criminal Court, civilian and victims¡¯ rights, reparations, and international crimes (aggression, genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes).
Over the past 15 years Professor Moffett has worked in over a dozen countries affected by armed conflict, working closely with victims, governments, armed groups and humanitarian organisations on dealing with the past, reparations, the laws of war and victims’ rights.
He has written two books - '' (Routledge 2014) and more recently '' (OUP 2023). He is author of over 50 journal articles and book chapters, as well as dozens of reports, blogs and podcasts.
He regularly provides advice to governments, UN bodies, and civil society on reparations, transitional justice and international humanitarian law.
